About the FoundationThe foundation was formed by the Kappa Chapter of Alpha Phi Omega at Carnegie Mellon University in May 2001. Our Mission is to promote volunteerism among young adults in Southwestern Pennsylvania, and to promote the principles of Leadership, Friendship, and Service. We achieve our goals through the use of grants to support organizations and activities that promote youth volunteerism and through two scholarships to promote the spirit of volunteerism among young adults. These scholarships are available to students at Carnegie Mellon University who exemplify the principles of the Foundation. |
