Foundation History

An organizing committee was formed by the Kappa Chapter of Alpha Phi Omega in early 2001, consisting of Gordon Lucht, Matthew J. McGrath, and Thomas W. Strong, Jr. The organizing committee prepared the initial drafts of the incorporating documents and selected Pantelis T. Papazekos to be the legal counsel for this effort.

On May 11, 2001 the incorporators held the first official meeting of the corporation in order to adopt bylaws and appoint the initial officers and trustees.
